Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center understands that every individual has different needs. To cope with the versatility of those undergoing treatment with us, we offer a variety of treatment plans.
Treatment can be broken down into different phases. Upon admission, a member of our staff will conduct an assessment to determine the type of treatment that will be most appropriate to the client. We give options to start treatment at a certain part of a phase the client's condition only requires that level of care. However, for a smoother recovery process, we recommend starting at phase I through phase III of the treatment.
With a 30-Day interval, here are the phases of treatment we offer:
1st Phase - Primary Care Treatment - 30 days
This program is designed to take place in a 90-Day time frame, however, a client is allowed to take the first 30 days of primary, intensive care treatment. With this, a client can only receive the treatment as designed for the first part of the three-phase treatment system that we offer. The client meets with a therapist weekly and a psychiatrist if necessary. Based on the client's progress through recovery, he/she can stay in Phase I as long as necessary.
In the 30-Day program, our goal is to build a stable foundation for a full recovery for those who are suffering from alcohol and substance addictions. The 12-Step program is part of this phase to enable the client to trace the source of his or her addiction. This enables the recovering addict to understand the resulting habit in reference to his or her past.
After the first phase, the client has the option to proceed to the extended care program.
2nd and 3rd Phases - Extended Care - 90 Days
For clients who need more treatment than what is provided in the first phase, the 2nd and 3rd phase is available. This is covered in a 90-day span where the individuals will be given ample time to address their addictions and ready themselves for a future of continuous recovery.
If a client has previously completed the 1st phase of the treatment at a different rehabilitation facility, our staff will be able to accommodate them in where they will begin the 2nd phase at Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center. This part of the treatment program is encouraged for those who have been through several other treatment facilities and will want to continue their treatment with us.
The client will be completing a series of specifically planned clinical activities during phases of his or her treatment. Each of the phases will provide a response to recovery issues experienced by the client. This phase also covers medication management and other mental health issues through counseling, group therapy and individual therapy sessions.
At all points in the therapy phases, our staff will be there to provide constant encouragement. Positive support, an outlet for healthy self-expression and consistent guidance from our counselors will be always available throughout the program.
At Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center, clients who are in surrounding areas of Orange County can benefit from our treatment programs without having to be confined within our facility. The Outpatient Treatment Program is also ideal as a post-treatment option after a client has completed the three phases with us.
For clients who have already completed the 90-day program, the Transitional Program is a good step to proceed. The program enables the clients to have proper guidance as they transition from the last part of their treatment and back to normal life. This is important for their recovery since the risk of relapse is high.
Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center will be helping clients shift from their lifestyle during the rehabilitation period towards what their normal life would be with their family and friends as well as how they would transition back to their workplace as an employee.
This is for clients who opt to go through the 90-day rehabilitation program but would like to make his or her own living arrangements outside Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center. The client can have his or her own transportation and will report to the center for rehabilitation exercises and clinical activities.
Because our concern for our clients extends the 90-day program, we offer Aftercare Monitoring for one year. This is focused on rehabilitative care where we will be monitoring the recovery status of the client after their treatment has been completed.
From the beginning, we emphasize that recovery from drug and alcohol addiction is a continuous process. It takes a lot to maintain sobriety that is why Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center gives clients the option to have assistance and guidance available even after their treatment phases are completed.
Orange County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center is serious in playing an important role in making self-renewal possible to people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. We bring you comprehensive rehabilitation programs that are carefully formulated by our knowledgeable and competent administration.
The following services are available.
Individualized Treatment Planning: Our treatment team of Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors will assess and create an individualized treatment plan catered to each client's needs. We refer to outside psychiatrists and addictionologists as needed.
Individual Counseling: Each client will be assigned a Case Manager who will oversee the client's treatment plan, and keep the client accountable to their specific program. Our Case Managers are also Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors.
Group Counseling: Although individual counseling is important, group counseling is also very important as it allows clients to learn about themselves through others. This is an opportunity for feedback and input from peers.
Addiction Education: Our educational programs teach about the physical, emotional and spiritual disease of alcoholism and drug addiction.
Residential Services: We have three residential locations in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, California. Our homes are gender-specific and offer support, accountability, and fellowship while transitioning into new life skills. The home you will be placed in depends on the phase of the program you are in.
Outpatient Services: Our outpatient services are an accumulation of individualized counseling, group counseling, and drug and alcohol addiction education. Our outpatient clients can live in their own home, or at one of our residential locations. Outpatient status allows clients to continue working and or going to school, or participating in other scheduled activities, while seeking treatment.
Relapse Prevention: In teaching clients to manage stress and create a support structure, we are helping them to prevent relapse. As part of our addiction education, we offer tools and techniques to avoid relapse.
Aftercare: It has been proved, if a client gets to one year of sobriety, their chances of getting to five years of sobriety increases greatly. That is achieved by maintaining accountability through continued group counseling and living in a structured sober environment.
Family Groups: Alcoholism and drug addiction is a family disease. It is important to include the family in the healing process.
12-Step Meetings: There are over 1500 weekly meetings in Orange County. Huntington Beach is a wonderful place to get sober and has meetings for all ages. Our clients are required to attend 12-Step meetings regularly.
Christ Centered Track: Our Christ Centered Track uses The Life Recovery Bible as well as attendance at the Celebrate Recovery Program at The Crossing Church. Also available is Bible study and church services at His Place Church in Huntington Beach. For more information on His Place Church, go to http://www.hisplace.com/.
Dual Diagnosis: Oftentimes, our clients not only suffer from the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction, but also from other mental disorders. If we suspect our client has a mental disorder, we refer them to a psychiatrist for further evaluation and medication, if needed.
