Understanding Rehabilitation Counseling [with captioning]
Over a billion people, about 15% of the world’s population, live with some form of disability. These people often feel marginalized, alone and that there is no place for them to go. Rehabilitation counselors specialize in provide support and training to people with disabilities to help them achieve the highest quality of life and gain deep self-worth. The students and professors of the Northern Illinois University Rehabilitation Counseling Program have put together this video to help both people with and without disabilities better understand that even when it seems hopeless, it is never too late to get the help you need.
